A HOUSE IS NOT A HOME - LUTHER VANDROSS
It's a Luther night.
We're home tonight. The windows are open and the deer repellent Paul sprayed on the Dogwoods smells like excrement and decomposing rodent carcasses with undertones of berries and tobacco.
A sweet friend posted a congratulatory message on my Facebook Wall. The judge in California issued his decision on the Prop 8 thing. Homos across the country are celebrating the victory.
Rather than a victory, I prefer to look at it as a significant ruling and hold off celebrating (or commiserating) until all this business is finished. However the Supreme Court rules, I'll be the good American and accept their ultimate decision.
On my iPod today: SHOW TUNES: Bernadette Peters in "The Goodbye Girl", The London Cast of a revival of "Sunday in the Park With George" and a bunch of Petula Clark songs. The blueberries this season are spectacular.

I love fresh blueberries! You and Paul must eat your fill for me!
ReplyDeleteThe very fact that it is so controversial a subject can be viewed as progress....forty years ago it wasn't even discussed outside the gay community....social inertia is historically painfully slow to overcome. I'll celebrate todays news..... as it was just another little victory in the long war against fear and hate. Remember those blueberries!
